VENDOR SPOTLIGHT 7/12

Hi there! I’m Kelly Martinez, the owner and baker behind Petunia Cottage Bakery. I’ve lived in Idaho my whole life and have absolutely loved calling Emmett home for the past three years. There’s something truly special about this community—the slower pace, the friendly faces, and the small-town charm that inspires everything I bake. Baking has always been part of who I am. Whether it was whipping up cookies for family gatherings, cakes for celebrations, or just something sweet to brighten someone’s day, it’s brought me endless joy. Now, I’m so excited to share that joy with you through my pop-up bakery. Petunia Cottage Bakery is a sweet little venture filled with homemade treats, crafted from scratch and made with love. You’ll find me at local farmers markets and vendor events, and I also offer online ordering with easy porch pickup or local delivery—because fresh-baked goodness should be simple to enjoy. The name Petunia Cottage Bakery is deeply personal. It’s a tribute to my sweet grandmother, who passed away earlier this year. Each spring, we’d plant petunias together—just the two of us, sharing stories, laughs, and muddy hands. Naming the bakery after that memory felt like the perfect way to keep her spirit alive and blooming all year long. Thank you so much for stopping by and getting to know a bit about me. Every cookie, cake, and bite I bake comes from the heart—with a dash of nostalgia and a whole lot of love.

Our Resources

We have the information here when you are ready to become an Emmett Farmers Market Vendor or to start your own business.

Before diving in and applying, only to find out too late that you do not qualify, here are a few quick answers to common questions about selling at the Emmett Farmers Market (EFM). If you think you do qualify, then continue with these steps:

What are Cottage Foods?

What about Sales Tax?

I’m ready to sign up as a vendor at the EFM.

A. Cottage foods are foods made in a person’s home or other designated location and sold directly to a consumer.

A. You must have a valid seller’s permit, collect sales tax, file a sales and use tax return, and forward the tax to the Tax Commission when you sell goods in Idaho.

Great! Click on the button below to access the Rules & Regulations, Sales Tax, and search if you need any other documentation to provide to the market.
